UTAH TALK SHOW HOST BRINGS HOME "WORLDMEDAL"
IN INTERNATIONAL RADIO AWARD COMPETITION
(New York City, New York) Bruce A. Lefavi, host of syndicated
financial radio talk show BULLETPROOF YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE,
broadcasting out of Salt Lake City, has been awarded a WorldMedal
in THE NEW YORK FESTIVALS RADIO PROGRAMMING AND ADVERTISING COMPETITION
for the category in "BEST TALK FORMAT" in the 2000 Radio
Competition. The Awards Ceremony was held on Thursday, June 15,
2000 in New York City at The Hilton Hotel & Towers, where industry
leaders gatherer to be honored.
BULLETPROOF YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE not only competed among
the best radio shows across the United States, but also against
various "types" of radio talk shows throughout the world
including general call-in, hot talk, medical advice, consumer-oriented
talk, "personal advice given" call-in programs along with
others.
"This is an amazing moment in my life to
be among the world’s finest and receive such
recognition," says Lefavi. "What’s
even more amazing is that my show, BULLETPROOF
YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE, is a financial radio
show and only one award was given in this broad
category, "BEST TALK
FORMAT," and it happened to be a financial
talk show!"
This year, 1,317 entries from 37 countries were
submitted to THE NEW YORK FESTIVALS radio
competition, of which only a very small number of
applicants received a "WorldMedal" in
any category. In addition to BEST TALK FORMAT,
other Programming Formats were BEST CLASSICAL,
BEST COUNTRY, BEST JAZZ, BEST OLDIES/NOSTALGIA,
BEST TOP 40 AND BEST URBAN/CONTEMPORARY. The
highest "WorldMedal" that was given for
any one of these Programming Formats in this year’s
competition was a Silver "WorldMedal"
which Lefavi received.
BULLETPROOF YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE is heard
on over 60 stations across America. Bruce Lefavi does his weekly two-hour financial call-in radio
talk show out of Salt Lake City where he resides,
taking questions from callers and providing sound
and timely advice which has helped millions of
listeners throughout the nation. He brings a
combination of financial information,
entertainment, and wit to his two-hour program.
Lefavi’s consultant and talent coach, Diane Bonilla Lee, who has
worked with Lefavi since 1997, explains, "I’m not the least
bit surprised that Bruce Lefavi and BULLETPROOF YOUR FINANCIAL FUTURE
has won a World Medal. I’ve been telling everyone all along to watch
for this guy and this program; he is going places." She should
know. Diane Bonilla Lee has been working in the radio industry for
over twenty years and has been recognized numerous times including
the prestigious "George Foster Peabody" and other national
and international awards for her creative work in radio. "Maybe
now someone will believe me! This guy is great!"
